Course objectives:  To offer students the opportunity to improve their key skills or technical skills in a subject area of their choice.

Course contents: statistical analysis; English language; GIS; landscape evaluation; soils.  Students choose one of these subject areas.

Teaching and learning methods:  Small-group tutorials and practicals; contact time varies between topics (typically 10-15 hours).

Examination: Written report or essay, depending on chosen topic (100 % of module marks).

Competences acquired: A detailed understanding of the skills taught in the chosen subject area.
